A word passes through six rooms and returns altered. Attention becomes weather; a guide forgets; a translation leaves something behind. These changes belong to the work. What you make of them remains yours.
You can watch, intervene, carry a word, or leave. Meaning takes shape between what is offered and what is received; it need not settle into agreement.
